APS technology provides maximum control

SECOMAK’S LATEST GAS BOOSTER TECHNOLOGY – THE APS SYSTEM - PROVIDES OPTIMUM PRESSURE WITH MAXIMUM CONTROL 

Secomak Ltd – global specialist in developing engineering solutions for a diverse range of industrial challenges – has launched the latest addition to its Gas Booster range.

The new Secomak Automatic Pressure Stabilisation (APS) system provides unrivalled control over energy consumption – and costs – for buildings and facilities managers.  The system maintains a constant pressure level – regardless of appliance usage – by allowing the user to set the required outlet pressure for the Gas Booster.

Ian Roffe, Managing Director Secomak Ltd comments; “At Secomak, we work hard to deliver innovative product developments that address the most important challenges in the market.  With the APS system, users can now control their Gas Booster operation with a greater degree of accuracy than ever before.  The APS system works by regulating the motor speed according to changes in demand, making it highly efficient in terms of energy consumption – and reducing associated costs.  Furthermore, this means that the life span of its component parts is maximised and that lifetime costs are reduced.  We also recognised our customers’ needs in terms of ease of use – and have even designed uniquely shaped sockets for a speedy, simple installation.”

The APS system is compatible with the current range of Secomak Gas Boosters and is also available with the Secomak Auto-Changeover system – automatically switching to the standby booster if the main booster fails - integrated into one, easy to use, wall-mountable box.  To improve the operatinglife of the system, Secomak has developed a default 7 Day Changeover programme that smoothes   usage patterns, preventing wear on a single booster where redundancy has been built in.  The timer’s memory function can recall the number of cycles even in the event of a stoppage.

Suitable for use with single stream and duty standby/parallel systems, the APS solution is compatible with any building or facility management system but is particularly effective where a constant supply is critical.

For an even greater level of control, the Secomak Soft Start System prevents pressure dips - regulating the speed of the motor during start-up, slowing the ramp time by 8 seconds.  This can be fitted retrospectively into any model already on site.

As a forerunner in the industry - with a track record of 40 years’ “incident free” supply to the global market - Secomak has unrivalled breadth and depth of expertise in developing and manufacturing Gas Booster equipment.

All Secomak Gas Boosters are manufactured to – and beyond – the British Standard 8487:2007 at Secomak’s UK headquarters in Elstree.  Furthermore, Secomak is the only UK manufacturer of Gas Boosters to be an affiliate of IGEM (Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers).
